BRADY OF BROADWAY made its debut in Detroit, where it was greeted with full houses, standing ovations, and a nomination as Best New Play of the season by the Detroit News.
Playwright Wm. B. Becker was awarded a Creative Artist Grant by the Michigan Council of the Arts for his work on this project. The Ohio Arts Council supported a production and educational tour by the Ensemble Theater of Cleveland.
The Smithsonian Institution produced BRADY OF BROADWAY for presentation in the Museum’s Great Hall. The Smithsonian’s production was among the most successful plays in the long-running “Cultures in Motion” series and was featured in the Washington Post as a “Weekend’s Best” event.
BRADY OF BROADWAY is an official event of the U.S. Civil War Center.
