Scott Mutter: A More Perfect World

“First & 10” was partially photographed at the corner of Michigan and Randolph in Chicago, where Scott Mutter wryly notes “pedestrians never have the right-of-way.” For those who brave this intersection, “reaching the other curb means that the immediate goal has been met, but because the streets represent danger zones that must be crossed again and again as people make their way through life, the whole scene is repeated at the next corner.”
