On the chair next to the bed, there’s an empty box and perhaps some tissue paper. The question is — what was in that box? The new lingerie our lovely victim wore to bed? Or perhaps something more sinister, like bundles of stolen cash that she’s stashed under the mattress while her partner “freshens up”?
