I can’t tell you the man’s name, but I’d bet dollars to doughnuts he was working for an outfit in New York called the Fawcett Studio. While there’s nothing written on the back of this picture, a couple of the other “noir” photographs in Laurelle’s stack were stamped, “Fawcett Studio/1600 Broadway/NYC 19, NY”
You don’t have to be a psychic to know that’s an important clue. It’s the kind of thing that will creep up on you in the middle of the night and make you awaken with a start.
