Detail from Pulp Pix: The Bizarre Case of Photography Noir – American Museum of Photography

This is a small but obviously very important detail. You have to wonder how much people would have been able to see in this relatively small section of the photograph, if the whole picture was reduced to the size of a magazine page. Or is it possible that a detail like this might have appeared as a second illustration? (Frustrating? Sure…but don’t throw in the towel.)
